Privacy Policy

1 What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect the following information:

• For everyone: first and last name, email address, phone number, and city or town in Massachusetts.
• For contractors only: your primary trade and MA HIC registration number (optional).

We do not collect payment information, social security numbers, government-issued ID, or any sensitive personal data at this stage. If you provide an HIC number, it is checked against the publicly available Massachusetts OCABR registry — no private records are accessed in that process.

2 Why we collect it

We collect your information for one purpose: to notify you when the BlueJobz app launches in Massachusetts. We will not use your information for any other purpose without your explicit consent. Specifically:

• Your email and phone are used to send launch notifications as described in Section 3.
• Your city or town helps us understand where our early users are located so we can prioritize coverage areas at launch.
• Your trade and HIC number (contractors only) are used to match you with homeowner jobs and, where provided, to verify your Massachusetts contractor registration.

3 How we will contact you

By joining the waitlist you expressly consent to receive the following communications from BlueJobz:

• A confirmation email immediately after you sign up.
• A launch notification email when the BlueJobz app goes live.
• A one-time SMS launch notification to the phone number you provided. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency: 2 messages total (confirmation + launch). Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
• A push notification if you have the BlueJobz app installed at the time of launch.

After launch notifications are sent, you will only receive further communications if you create a BlueJobz account and opt in through the app. We do not send marketing emails to waitlist members beyond the messages described above.

4 How we store and protect your data

Your information is stored in Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified cloud database provider hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access to waitlist data is restricted to BlueJobz personnel and is protected by row-level security policies that prevent unauthorized reads.

We maintain a Written Information Security Program (WISP) in compliance with Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00 (Standards for the Protection of Personal Information of Residents of the Commonwealth).

5 Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your data only with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of operating the waitlist:

• Supabase — database storage (supabase.com)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com)
• Twilio — SMS delivery (twilio.com)
• Expo — push notification delivery for app users (expo.dev)

Each provider is contractually required to protect your data and is prohibited from using it for their own purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.

6 Your rights and how to opt out

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your waitlist information at any time.

• Email: Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it immediately removes you from all future emails.
• SMS: Reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text we send. Your number is removed instantly and automatically — no manual step required.
• Data deletion: To have your information removed from our records entirely, email bluejobz2025@gmail.com. We'll complete it within 10 business days.

If you are a Massachusetts resident, you have additional rights under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93H, including the right to know what personal data we hold about you and to request its correction or deletion.

7 Data retention

We retain your waitlist information for as long as necessary to deliver the launch notifications you signed up for, and for up to 12 months thereafter in case of any follow-up inquiries. If you request deletion before that period ends, we will remove your record within 10 business days. After the app launches and all notifications are sent, waitlist data is archived and no longer used for any active purpose.

8 Children's privacy

BlueJobz is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our waitlist, please contact us at bluejobz2025@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

9 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the BlueJobz platform evolves. Material changes will be posted at bluejobz.com/privacy with an updated date. If you have joined the waitlist, we will notify you of material changes by email before they take effect. Continued use of the waitlist after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
